Peer Pressure

I went and saw Scissor Sisters Friday night. Casey Spooner of Fischerspooner opened for them with a whole new act/look/song list. He’s doing this crooner thing now and had on a fab silver Fabian style suit. The Scissters were magnificent and energetic as always. Some of the new songs dragged the crowd down a bit but that’s okay to me. Severin and I hung in the bar and had a prime seat. It was great because we could drink, dance, and had a fantastic view of the laser show that they have this tour.

Coincidentally, the shots of the laser show that I posted on Flickr have been found by the FX company and they want to use some of the photos on their official site. Neat-o.

Anywhoooo, while at the show, I was dressed fab as always and drinking a shitload of ginger ale and amaretto (try it, it’s fucking amazing). I danced a bit and sang along like anyone who is a 16 on the inside would do at a show. ;)

I was adopted during the show by a very drunken gay man named Gary. Gary was tall, lean, and looked to be about my age. Gary thought I was FABULOUS (cuz I am, duh). Gary twirled and rubbed his butt on me a lot and put his arm around me and sang along. Gary was also slurring and barely able to stand still when he wasn’t dancing. His friends that he was with were a mixed bunch and much more sober than he. He’d flit between a few of them and coming back to dance with me. Sometimes dancing with us both at the same time. It was hysterical. I tend to get adopted like this at shows but I rarely know the person afterward and never see them again.

So, cut to this morning and I was joking on Twitter that I missed Gary and wondered how he was doing now. I was then goaded by a few to post something on Craig’s List “Missed Connections” to find him. I am way too shy to ever do this but I was joking along and wrote up a lil post and DM’d it to the people who were talking to me about it. They LOVED it and pushed me to actually post it so I decided FUCK IT.
